What We Believe

We believe in only one God.

Deut. 6:4 – Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God is one Lord:
Isaiah 45:22 – Look unto me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth: for I am God, and there is none else.
Gal. 3:20 –  Now a mediator is not a mediator of one, but God is one.

We believe in God the Father.

Eph. 4:6 – One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.
2 Cor. 1:3 – Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort;

We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of the living God.

Matt. 16:16-17 – And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God.
And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven.
John 3:16 – For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

We believe in the Holy Spirit.

John 4:23-24 – But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him.
God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.

Eph. 4:4 – There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling
John 14:16-17 – And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;
Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.

We believe that all scripture is the inspired Word of God.

2 Tim. 3:16 –  All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
John 1:1 – In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

We believe that Jesus Christ is the only way and means of Salvation.

John 14:6 – Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
John 10:9 – I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture.

We believe in the virgin birth.

Matt. 1:23 – Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.

We believe in water baptism.

Matt. 28:19 – Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
Acts 2:38 – Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

We believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit.

Acts 1:5 – For John truly baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence.
Acts 2:4 – And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.

We believe in the fruit and the gifts of the Spirit.

Gal. 5:22 – But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
1 Cor. 12:8-10 – For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit;
To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit;
To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues:

We believe in the five-fold ministry as the government of God for His Church.

Eph. 4:11-12 – And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;
For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:

We believe the Kingdom of God and humanity’s role is the primary focus seen in scripture.

Matt. 6:31-33 –  Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?
(For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.
But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
Matt 4:17 – From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.
Luke 9:2 – And he sent them to preach the kingdom of God, and to heal the sick.

We believe the true church is a ruling and reigning church made up of common people called out to establish the Kingdom of God upon the earth.

Rev 5:9-10 – And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation;
And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth.
Matt 16:18-19 – And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.
And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.

We believe the church is to conduct spiritual warfare.

Eph. 6:10-18 –  Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.
11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;
15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;
16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.
17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:
18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;

We believe the kingdom is present tense as well as eternal and still unfolding.

Matt 4:17 –  From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.
Matt 3:2 –  And saying, Repent ye: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.
Matt 6:10 –  Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.
Matt 13:1-52 –
